Vaibhav Priya, from the heart of Patahi in the district, has showcased his brilliance by securing the 104th position nationally in the UPSC examination.

Vaibhav Priya, the proud son of Ajay Kumar Singh, fondly known as Shyam Babu Singh, has roots in Patahi. This small town’s name now resonates with pride and joy because of Vaibhav’s commendable achievement.
Educational Foundation:
From the start, Vaibhav’s brilliance was evident. He embarked on his academic journey at Oakgrove School in Mussoorie, completing his 10th grade. Subsequently, he pursued his senior secondary education at DAV Shyamali in Ranchi. But his thirst for knowledge didn’t stop there. He went on to earn a B.Tech degree from the esteemed MNIT Allahabad, solidifying his academic foundation.
A Family of Achievers:
Vaibhav’s drive and ambition can be traced back to his familial roots. His father, Shyambabu Singh, served the nation in his capacity as the Senior Personnel Officer of Railways before retiring. At home, Vaibhav’s mother, Ranju Singh, played the crucial role of a homemaker, nurturing and supporting her son’s dreams.
The Relentless Pursuit of Excellence:
Demonstrating an indomitable spirit, Vaibhav cleared the UPSC exam on his first attempt. However, being a perfectionist, he wasn’t content with his initial rank. This speaks volumes about his dedication and hunger for success.

While many would rest on their laurels after clearing such a prestigious exam, Vaibhav was different. Despite being an IIS probationer, he continued his UPSC preparations with fervor. His hard work paid off when he retook the exam and secured an impressive 104th rank in his second attempt.
