Royal Enfield Electric: Indian motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield has unveiled its first electric bike. It may be noted that the electric version of the Royal Enfield Himalayan was unveiled at the ongoing auto show in Italy. Currently, the bike is undergoing testing and once it passes, it will be launched in the market. The bike comes with Golden upside-down forks suspension and gas charge mono-shock suspension.
Both tires of the bike have disk brakes. It also features 17 and 21-inch spoke wheels. In India, there are several companies that have established themselves in the electric segment, but none of them have introduced an electric bike to the market. Now, Royal Enfield has surprised everyone by launching an electric bike.
It is worth mentioning that Royal Enfield recently announced the launch of its Himalayan 452 bike. It is believed that the company will launch this bike later this year. According to reports, Royal Enfield’s parent company, Eicher Motors, has invested Rs 1,000 crore in Royal Enfield for electric bike manufacturing.
As a result of this investment, Royal Enfield will manufacture 60,000 electric bikes in the next three years. It is said that the Bullet electric bike from Royal Enfield will soon be available in the market, although the company has not made any official announcement about it.
