In a candid conversation with News 18 post the results, Aman expressed his surprise and joy. “I never anticipated topping the BPSC. It’s something that probably no one, including myself, saw coming,” Aman shared, revealing his modest expectations. “I had hoped to be within the top 50, if not the top 10, but this is a delightful surprise.”

Despite the significant achievement in this exam, it wasn’t Aman’s first rodeo with the BPSC. He is currently undergoing training for the post of RDO in Madhubani, having secured a commendable 66th rank in the BPSC’s 66th examination.

A glance at Aman’s educational background reveals a trajectory different from many of his civil service peers. Completing his schooling in Burari, Delhi, at a private institution, Aman’s foundation was further strengthened by his father, a dedicated teacher in a Delhi government school. His brother, Sandeep Anand, resides with relatives in Bedhna, Barh.

BPSC Topper Aman Anand

Diverging from the conventional path, Aman pursued a B.Tech in Information Technology from NSIT, Delhi. However, the calling for civil service became evident in his fourth semester. “My initial attempt was more of a learning experience,” he recounted. “In my second go, I managed to secure the 52nd rank in the 66th BPSC exam. And now, in my third attempt, here we are.”

College life was a pivotal period for Aman. It was during these years that he felt a strong inclination towards civil services. Opting for Sociology as his subject in the BPSC, he provided a rationale for his choice, stating, “The syllabus for Sociology is relatively concise, and a lot of the content requires memorization.”

Aman Anand’s journey, filled with dedication, hard work, and a drive for continuous improvement, stands testament to the fact that with the right mindset and approach, success in any domain is achievable. His story serves as an inspiration for many, demonstrating that one’s background or initial choices do not define their potential or destiny.
