In 2019, Yogesh secured the prestigious All India Rank 63 in the UPSC examination. But this was not his first rodeo. A year earlier, in 2018, he had already tasted success by securing the All India Rank 201, landing him a respectable position in the IPS service. But Yogesh’s eyes were set on a different prize – the coveted IAS officer title. Not one to rest on his laurels, he geared up for another attempt and emerged triumphant, realizing his dream.

Hailing from the bustling city of Pune, Maharashtra, Yogesh’s journey into the world of UPSC began during his engineering days. While most of his peers were pursuing lucrative careers in technology firms, Yogesh had a different vision for his future. He was drawn to the allure of civil services, believing in the difference he could make through it. With a clear strategy and relentless hard work, he set about preparing for one of the toughest exams in the country and succeeded in his very first two attempts.

Despite his accomplishments, Yogesh is quick to dismiss certain myths surrounding the UPSC examinations. He emphasizes that success in UPSC isn’t reserved for English-medium educated individuals with impeccable English language skills. In fact, Yogesh himself was educated in a Marathi medium school during his formative years. He stands as a shining example, debunking the myth, showing that success in UPSC isn’t about the language you know but the passion with which you pursue your dreams.
