Greater Noida is set to emerge as a significant educational hub, with vacant plots being earmarked for development. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has launched a new initiative to sell these plots, specifically for educational institutions.

Development Plan in the Offing

Under YEIDA’s new scheme, applications have been solicited for plots spanning five categories located in sectors 17-A and 22-E. Prospective applicants have until the 27th of October, 2023, to submit their interest. This endeavor is a part of a broader vision by the Yogi government to position Uttar Pradesh as a trillion-dollar economy powerhouse and to underscore the state’s focus on becoming a leading center for education.

Details of the Scheme

Starting from the 28th of September, the premium for these plots has been set ranging between 111 crores to 174 crores. There’s also a processing fee of 5,500, alongside the GST. To streamline the application and banking process, YEIDA has collaborated with the Bank of Baroda, which will act as the exclusive banking partner for this project. To ensure transparency, the entire procedure has been designed to minimize human interference, making it seamless and efficient.

Why Greater Noida?

Several factors make Greater Noida an attractive location for setting up educational institutions. The city boasts proximity to the Jewar Airport, International Film City, Yamuna Expressway, and the Buddh Circuit, offering unparalleled connectivity. Institutions setting up here can also benefit from top-notch facilities, including a state-of-the-art rapid transit system, making it a world-class project in its own right.

For those interested in procuring plots, they can glean more information and apply through YEIDA’s official website.

In Sector 17-A of Greater Noida, the rate for a 1.21 lakh square meter plot (number 11) has been set at ₹9,141 per square meter, making the total premium stand at ₹111.27 crores.
