In a commendable feat that stands as a testament to dedication and perseverance, Dushyant Kumar from Vananchal village in the Dondi block of Balod district, Chhattisgarh, has etched his name in the annals of history. At the youthful age of 26, Dushyant not only tackled the Public Service Commission (PSC) examination but emerged triumphant for the third consecutive time.
Initially, Dushyant’s journey with the PSC led him to the position of Rural Development Extension Officer. Not resting on his laurels, the second time he appeared, he was designated as the Assistant Accounts Officer in the Treasury. His relentless determination now sees him securing the esteemed post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
Presently, Dushyant is engrossed in his role as the Assistant Accounts Officer, serving the Treasury Department situated in Charama, Kanker district. Despite having a demanding job, spanning over two and a half years, Dushyant harbored the ambition to ascend higher. The young officer revealed that he juggled his professional responsibilities with PSC preparations right from his home in Charama, eschewing the need for external coaching.
Highlighting his academic brilliance, Dushyant’s sister, Yogeshwari, beamed with pride while recounting his consistent track record. “From the early days, Dushyant’s prowess in academics was evident. He not only clinched the top spots in both school and college but also managed an impressive 160th rank in his latest PSC attempt,” she said.
Behind every success story, there’s often a tale of sacrifice and unyielding support. Kunti Bai, Dushyant’s mother, recollected the challenges of bringing up three children with limited means. “Financial constraints never deterred us. We curtailed our expenses, prioritizing our children’s education above everything,” she expressed. Today, she finds solace and immense pride in the fact that all her children are pursuing their dreams in educational hostels, a direct outcome of their collective hard work and sacrifices.
Dushyant Kumar’s story isn’t just about individual achievement but a narrative of a family’s undying spirit, resilience, and an unflinching belief in the power of education.
