The mountains echo with tales of endurance and determination. Rekha Tiwari, fondly known as Pavani, has now become a part of those tales. A resident of Malli Deoria, Udham Singh Nagar, this mountaineering enthusiast recently elevated not only her personal achievements but also the pride of an entire nation.

A Quest for the Summits

Embarking on a journey to conquer the seven highest peaks of the world, Rekha set forth with the blessings of her parents, late Shri Gopal Dutt and Kalavati Tiwari. She illuminated India’s name on the international stage by proudly hoisting the Tricolor on the highest peaks of Africa and Europe, exemplifying her love for the nation and her native state.

The Spark of Mountaineering

It was at ABVIM in Himachal Pradesh that Rekha, alias Pavani, received her training. Here, the mighty mountains ignited a dream in her heart to dominate their towering heights globally.

A Celestial Coincidence

The euphoria of unfurling the Tricolor on Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895 meters), Africa’s zenith, was unmatched. The excitement was amplified when, on the very same day, India marked another astronomical achievement: Chandrayaan’s successful lunar expedition.

From Kilimanjaro to Elbrus

Merely two days after her African conquest, Rekha was on her way to Russia. Her next challenge was Mount Elbrus (5,995 meters), Europe’s crowning glory. The journey to its peak was distinct from Kilimanjaro’s. Facing the cold bite of minus 7 degrees Celsius and adverse conditions, Rekha’s sense of triumph was magnified when she learned of India’s successful Suryaan Aditya L-1 launch. Notably, her ascent of Elbrus from its North Face and subsequent descent from the South Face made her the first Indian woman to achieve this feat.

Beyond the Mountains

Although a computer engineer by profession, the vast spectrum of life’s possibilities beckoned Rekha. She chose to immerse herself in spiritual and yogic pursuits, leaving her corporate life behind.

The Life Coach of Stars

Rekha’s skills weren’t confined to mountains alone. In Dubai, she served as the personal life coach to renowned industrialist Sara Belhasa. This association allowed her to travel extensively, furthering her spiritual journey.
