4. Food Service Timing: It’s important to note that food services through the online platform cease after 10 PM. This rule ensures that passengers can rest without disturbances during the night hours. However, with the introduction of e-catering services, travelers can pre-order their desired meals or snacks even during late hours.

5. TTE Ticket Checks: Train Ticket Examiners (TTEs) play a crucial role in ensuring proper ticketing and seat allocation. However, it’s worth noting that TTEs are generally not allowed to check passengers’ tickets after 10 PM, unless there’s a specific need. This rule aims to minimize disturbances during the night journey.

Rules Regarding Luggage:

1. Luggage Limits: Different classes of train travel come with varying luggage limits. Passengers traveling in AC coaches can carry more luggage compared to those in sleeper or second class. In AC coaches, a passenger is allowed to carry more than 70 kg of luggage. In sleeper class, the allowance is 40 kg, while in second class, it’s 35 kg.

2. Excess Luggage Charges: If a passenger exceeds the prescribed luggage limit, extra charges are applicable. In AC coaches, the excess baggage limit is 150 kg with an additional charge. For sleeper class, the limit is 80 kg, and for second class, it’s 70 kg. These rules are in place to ensure that luggage restrictions are followed, preventing overcrowding of compartments.

3. Fines for Non-Compliance: If passengers fail to adhere to these luggage rules, they might face fines in addition to being asked to pay excess luggage charges. It’s important to respect these guidelines to maintain comfort and safety for all passengers.
