Hero MotoCorp is all set to challenge the market dominance of Harley-Davidson’s X440 with its latest offering, a powerful bike that’s tentatively being referred to as the “Hero 440cc” Scheduled for launch on January 22.

At the heart of Hero’s Bahubali lies a robust 440cc engine. The bike is likely to be introduced at a sub-Rs 2 lakh ex-showroom price.

In an exciting development, this new Hero bike will be built on the same platform as the Harley Davidson X440. This Hero 440cc will share some design and engineering elements with the renowned American brand’s offering.

A notable aspect of the Hero 440cc is its engine – a brand new 420cc liquid-cooled unit and specifically designed for this flagship adventure tourer.

In terms of safety, the bike will be equipped with substantial braking capabilities. It is expected to feature 320 mm front and 240 mm rear disc brakes and complemented by a dual-channel ABS system.

Hero 440cc is likely to boast a 440cc single-cylinder air- and oil-cooled engine. This powertrain is capable of producing a maximum output of 27 bhp at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 38 Nm at 4,000 rpm. Paired with a six-speed transmission.
