However, former cricketer Aakash Chopra has expressed his concerns about this move, suggesting that it may not bring any benefits to the Punjab Kings team.

Along with Shahrukh Khan, Punjab Kings decided to part ways with Sri Lankan batsmen Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Mohit Rathi, Baltej Dhanda, and Raj Angad Bawa.
Aakash Chopra, a prominent cricket analyst, has questioned the wisdom behind releasing Shahrukh Khan. During a discussion on his YouTube channel, he stated, “Punjab Kings have released Shahrukh Khan, Raj Angad Bawa, Baltej Dhanda, Mohit Rathi, and Bhanuka Rajapaksa. I am wondering why you released Shahrukh Khan. First of all, you did not utilize Shahrukh Khan effectively. Whenever he was given a chance, he delivered impressive performances. Now, what options do you have for a lower-middle-order batsman in the upcoming auction? It’s unlikely that you will find a player of Shahrukh Khan’s caliber.”
IPL 2024: It’s worth noting that Aakash Chopra had previously predicted that Shahrukh Khan’s bidding price would soar to Rs 10 crore, making it challenging for Punjab Kings to secure his services once again.
The decision to release Shahrukh Khan has raised eyebrows and sparked discussions among cricket enthusiasts. Whether Punjab Kings will regret this move or find a suitable replacement in the upcoming auction remains to be seen.
