iQoo 12 Series Set to Launch in India

iQoo 12: The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, iQoo, has been steadily making its mark in the Indian market, consistently introducing new and advanced phones. Continuing its legacy, the company is preparing to unveil its latest, the iQoo 12 series. This much-awaited series has already been confirmed for a launch in China, with its debut in India also now confirmed.

A subsidiary of Vivo, the forthcoming iQoo phones in India have been verified under Vivo’s banner. The series, focused on gaming, will prominently feature the iQoo 12 and iQoo 12 Pro models. Both will be powered by Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Notably, the iQoo 12 will be the first phone in India to sport this new-gen SoC. There’s also speculation that the series might come with the Android 14 operating system.

iQoo India’s CEO, Nipun Marya, shared information about the impending launch of the iQoo 12 5G in India, confirming its introduction with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, making it India’s first.

Scheduled for a November 7th release in China, the series has already been teased on Weibo. The iQoo 12 series will be equipped with features like a 144Hz refresh rate display, triple rear camera setup, Wi-Fi 7, dual Bluetooth, and a prime core CPU with a maximum clock speed of 3.3GHz.

Leaked specifications hint at two storage options for the iQoo 12 and 12 Pro, supporting up to 24GB RAM and 1TB storage. The primary camera might boast 50 megapixels with OIS, complemented by a 64-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL JN1 sensor. Battery-wise, the iQoo 12 could sport a 4,880mAh dual-cell battery with 120W fast charging, while the Pro model might come with a larger 4,980mAh battery, supporting both 120W wired and 50W wireless charging.
