Early Struggles and an Unwavering Mother
Mansi’s life wasn’t always this golden. Behind her current success lies a tale of grit, sacrifice, and a mother’s undying support. After the unfortunate passing of her father, Lakhpat Singh Negi, it was Shakuntala Devi, Mansi’s mother, who took the helm. She toiled day in and day out, selling cow milk in the village, ensuring that Mansi had the resources she needed to chase her dreams.
Educational Path and Athletic Beginnings
Mansi’s academic journey saw her attending Government Girls High School in Gopeshwar, from where she completed her intermediate in 2018. She continued her education at GGIC Dehradun in 2020. While Mansi’s academic pursuits continued, her athletic prowess was being honed simultaneously. At the Sports College of Dehradun, Mansi received an invaluable opportunity to further her training at the esteemed Maharana Sports College.
Achievements that Sparkled
Mansi’s dedication bore fruit when she clinched the gold medal in the 10,000-meter walk race at the 37th National Junior Athletics Championship held in Guwahati. She not only secured the top spot in the under-20 women’s category but also set a record by completing the race in a staggering 47:30:94 minutes. But her journey didn’t stop there. Mansi’s talent shone brightly on an international platform when she bagged a bronze medal at the World University Games in China, bringing honor to both her state and country.
An Inspiring Present and a Promising Future
Currently, Mansi is pursuing her graduation from a private university in Punjab. Recognizing her talent, the university generously covers her educational expenses. Her accomplishments have also been recognized by her home state of Uttarakhand, bestowing upon her the prestigious Teelu Rauteli Award.
