Hailing from the quaint village of Bubukpur in Sardhana, Meerut, Tushar’s journey started with an academic route quite different from farming. After finishing his schooling, he went on to pursue an MBA from one of India’s premier institutions, Symbiosis. Though he secured a prestigious position in an American MNC, the allure of his homeland and the desire to work on the fields with his father proved stronger.

Venturing into farming was no cakewalk, especially with the advanced techniques Tushar was keen on adopting. He embraced the polyhouse method for cucumber cultivation, a decision fraught with challenges. However, consultations with agricultural experts from Delhi and Lucknow provided valuable insights. He installed coolers to regulate field temperatures, incorporated sprinklers and foggers for appropriate moisture levels, and used green poly as a protective layer against the harshness of heat, rain, and cold, ensuring that his crops thrived even in challenging weather conditions.

Tushar’s 4-acre plot is now a buzzing hub of agricultural activity, predominantly focused on cucumber cultivation through the polyhouse method, occasionally diversifying with capsicum. His produce doesn’t just cater to local markets but also garners demand from regions like Delhi and UP, resulting in an impressive annual turnover running into crores.
