The month of August 2023 has been remarkable for the Indian auto industry, with Maruti Suzuki once again leading the way. In the list of the top 10 best-selling cars last month, 8 of them were Maruti Suzuki models, while the remaining two were Hyundai and Tata cars.

The sales of the Hyundai Creta in August 2023 reached 13,832 units, a 9.98% increase from the same month last year. The Maruti Dzire recorded a sales figure of 13,293 units, a 12.01% increase compared to last year.
The sales of the Maruti Ertiga also witnessed an impressive growth of 32.22%, with 12,315 units sold in August 2023, securing the eighth position in the list. This car’s design and spacious interior have made it a popular choice among consumers.
According to reports, Maruti S-Presso acquired the ninth position with total sales of 12,164 units in August 2023. It is worth mentioning that the Franker was launched earlier this year and secured the ninth position with 11,859 units sold. The sales of the Franker decreased by 1.17% compared to the same month last year. In terms of total sales, the top 10 cars in India recorded a cumulative figure of 143,549 units in August 2023, which is 9.63% higher than August 2022. Maruti Suzuki’s consistent presence in the market reflects the brand’s strong hold in the Indian automotive market.
