Reliance Jio, one of India’s leading telecom companies, recently announced that it has achieved its minimum roll-out responsibilities for its 5G connectivity in all 22 telecom circles or LSA (Licensed Service Areas) across the country. The company secured spectrum allocations in all spectrums bands ahead of schedule on August 17, 2022. It successfully completed its submission on July 19, 2023. Reliance Jio utilized the 26GHz mmWave spectrum in each circle to provide high-quality streaming services to its users.

Chairman Akash Ambani expressed his pride in announcing the availability of high-quality 5G services for 1.4 billion Indians, emphasizing their commitment to the Indian government. Since receiving the 5G spectrum last August, the Reliance Jio team has worked tirelessly to ensure its successful implementation.

This achievement marks the first commercial-scale roll-out of FR2 StandAlone mmWave technology at a global level.
