Ather has launched three new scooters, including one new model and two updated versions. The new Ather 450S comes with a 2.9kWh battery pack, while the existing 450X model is now available with options of a 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh battery. The Ather 450S has been launched at an ex-showroom price of ₹1,29,999. It comes with some new changes, including a new switch gear, an activated fall-safe feature, and the convenience of an ESS.
With the introduction of the Ather 450S, there are now three models available in the market, and their prices have also changed. The Ather 450S is priced at ₹1,30,157 (ex-showroom). The 450X (2.9kWh) is priced at ₹1,38,157, and the 450X (3.7kWh) is priced at ₹1,45,078 (ex-showroom). All these scooters are packed with impressive features as well.
Ather’s CEO mentioned that the launch of these three new electric scooters is aimed at attracting a larger customer base. The Ather 450S runs on a 3kWh battery and provides a range of 115 kilometers. Its top speed is 90 kilometers per hour. The company has not yet shared more information about the 450S, but it is expected to be released by August.
The scooter comes with a digital screen that displays the odometer, speedometer, charging indicator, low battery indicator, and allows for Bluetooth connectivity. With Bluetooth connectivity, users can receive phone call and message notifications on the scooter. According to automotive experts, the launch of these new scooters poses a challenge for other companies like Ola, Okinawa, and Hero. More companies are expected to launch their own electric scooters in the near future, and large-scale efforts are already underway for this.
