Mumbai Metro: Lines 2A and 7 Stations To Get Last-Mile Auto Rickshaw Connectivity
In a bid to enhance the convenience of commuters, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has decided to provide last-mile connectivity to the passengers using the Mumbai Metro Line 2A and Line 7. The last mile connectivity will be established through auto-rickshaws, which are a popular mode of transport in the city.
Line 2A, also known as the Dahisar-DN Nagar Metro corridor, is currently under construction and will connect the northern and western parts of Mumbai. It will comprise a total of 17 stations, with an approximate length of 18.6 kilometers. Similarly, Line 7, the Andheri East to Dahisar East Metro corridor, will consist of 13 stations and cover a distance of around 16.5 kilometers.
By introducing auto-rickshaws as a last-mile connectivity option, the MMRDA aims to facilitate the seamless travel of passengers from these metro stations to their final destinations.
