Cargo Ship Carrying BMWs and Mercedes Still Burning Off the Dutch Coast

A devastating fire broke out on a cargo ship off the Dutch coast, causing a significant loss as it was transporting a cargo of renowned luxury vehicles – BMWs and Mercedes. The inferno, which began on Friday, has continued to wreak havoc despite the efforts of firefighters to control the blaze.

The ship, identified as the “MV Eemslift Hendrika,” was en route from the Belgian port of Zeebrugge to the Finnish city of Klaipeda when the fire erupted. The vessel, operated by the Dutch company Amasus Shipping, was carrying a cargo of several high-end vehicles, packed with sleek BMWs and luxurious Mercedes models.

As the vessel rapidly became engulfed in flames, a rescue operation was launched to ensure the safety of the crew members. Thankfully, all 12 individuals on board were successfully evacuated. However, the cargo bay, containing the expensive luxury vehicles, continues to be consumed by the relentless fire.
