Origins in Bikaner:

Born and raised in the district of Bikaner, Rajasthan, Akash grew up in a household where his father worked as a veterinary doctor. His initial schooling days began in Bikaner, where the seeds of his academic journey were sown.

Early Hurdles:

The year 1996 marked a significant setback for Akash. Scoring merely 57% in his high school examinations led to his expulsion from his school. Many would view such an event as the end of an academic pursuit, but for Akash, it was just a detour. Undeterred, he secured admission in another prestigious school.

A Resolute Comeback:

Akash’s subsequent endeavors bore fruit. His efforts were evident when he scored an impressive 85% in his Intermediate examinations. Continuing his educational journey, he pursued B.Com from Duggal College, Bikaner, completing it in 2001.

Furthering Education at JNU:

The thirst for knowledge took Akash to the esteemed Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi. Here, he undertook M.Com from the School of Social Science and furthered his academic journey with an M.Phil in 2005.

Turning Point:

During his time at JNU, the allure of the Civil Services beckoned. Drawing inspiration from his surroundings, Akash began his preparation with renewed vigor.

UPSC Triumph:

Displaying remarkable resilience, Akash, once considered academically weak and expelled from school, cleared the UPSC examinations in his very first attempt in 2006. A turnaround that few would have predicted, but Akash’s commitment to his goals made it possible.

Reflections on the Past:

Akash candidly admits his early inclinations were towards sports rather than studies. His academic focus shifted only after his graduation. The pivotal change in mindset and the dedication that followed bore testimony to his success.
