YouTube is working on a new feature that will make it easier for users to search for songs. Many of us often forget the name or wording of a song, but we remember the tune. We keep humming that tune in our mind until we forget the word or line associated with it. Sometimes, we remember a few lines of a song but forget the starting line. In such situations, finding the song on YouTube becomes a difficult task. However, this problem is soon going to be solved.
YouTube is developing a new feature that will allow users to search for their favorite songs by humming the tune or a few lines of the song. This information about the feature has been provided by the company on its “YouTube Test Features and Experiments” page. Currently, only those who have access to the experimental page can use this feature. Under the new song search feature, users will have to hum the tune or a line of the song for 3 to 4 seconds. After submitting it, YouTube will search for the song and present it to the user. Although this feature is currently in the testing phase and may not work perfectly yet, the company is working to perfect it so that users can have an easy search experience. In simple terms, you can consider it similar to voice search, but with the ability to search for songs.
Apart from this new feature, YouTube is also working on improving the user experience by introducing a “Smart Organization System” in the subscription feed. Under this system, you will be able to see some of the latest videos from the creators you have subscribed to in one place, eliminating the need to search for each video individually. Currently, if you want to watch the latest videos of a creator on YouTube, you have to go to their page and watch each video one by one. But soon, YouTube will reduce this hassle as well.
And, YouTube’s new song search feature will make it easier for users to find songs by humming the tune or a few lines. This feature is currently being tested and will improve over time. Additionally, YouTube is also working on improving the subscription feed to provide a better user experience.
