BMW India is planning to launch three new cars and a motorcycle on December 10th. The Bavarian automaker has announced that they will be launching the new XM hybrid SUV, X7 facelift, and M340i xDrive facelift versions. In addition to these, the company will also launch the 2023 BMW S 1000 RR liter-class motorcycle on the same day. While most of the company’s products will be updated models, the XM is a new SUV being launched in India.

The new BMW XM comes with a bold, shiny kidney grille, a split headlamp unit, 21-inch wheels as standard, large air intakes, slim L-shaped rear lights, and the latest generation M Sport brake calipers in black. Customers can also choose the option of 22-inch or 23-inch M light alloy wheels.

The new XM is the first M model of the brand to have a plug-in hybrid powertrain. It comes with a 489bhp, 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine combined with an electric motor, generating a combined power output of 653bhp and peak torque of 800Nm. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to all four wheels through the M xDrive system.

The more powerful version of the BMW XM labeled Red is also being prepared, with a hybrid powertrain generating 748bhp and 1000Nm of combined power and torque, respectively. The new BMW XM SUV claims to reach 0-100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds and has been electronically limited to a top speed of 250 km/h. With the optional M Driver’s Package, the top speed can be increased to 270 km/h.

The new BMW XM comes with adaptive M suspension, electronically controlled dampers, and a new 48V system. In Pure EV mode, the SUV can run for up to 80 km. Overall, the new BMW XM promises a balance of power, performance, and eco-friendliness to the Indian market.
